Hublot

Hublot was founded in 1980 by Carlo Crocco, part of the wealthy Italian Binda family. He created a watch with a natural rubber strap, which, following a slow start at Baselworld 1980, started to steadily attract widespread attention. In 2003 he recruited the mercurial talent of Jean-Claude Biver, who at the time was heading up OMEGA, to run Hublot. Biver quickly and comprehensively revamped the brand with a new collection known as the Big Bang chronograph. It proved a huge and instant success. With Biver’s natural skill at marketing and publicity, the brand has continued to grow rapidly year on year and become involved in the world of football, motor racing and basketball to increase its celebrity fuelled profile. Hublot brand ambassadors include the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, football legend Pele, and arguably the world’s most highly regarded football manager, Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho. Today Hublot is part of the LVMH Group and currently owns 50 boutiques around the world.
